PACC's Training and Technical Assistance Resources

PACC provides state-wide trainings, conferences, and workshops which promote service learning and community service, cultivate a discourse on current issues, share information and program models, and stimulate leadership, collaboration and partnership building. PACC also assists members in gaining knowledge about "best practices" and aids campuses in developing strategies for the design, development, implementation and management of campus-specific programs.

For more information about seeking customized, campus-based training and technical assistance, contact Char Gray.

AmeriCorps Longitudinal Study:   Serving Country and Community: A Longitudinal Study of Service in AmeriCorps

Results from a longitudinal study of AmeriCorps members demonstrate the early impacts of national service on members’ civic engagement, education, employment, and life skills. Findings reveal that AmeriCorps alumni are more connected to their communities, more knowledgeable about problems facing their communities, and more likely to participate in community activities. They also are more likely to choose public service careers.
